Below is a copy of my classroom homework accountability form. Students who fail to complete and turn in their homework in Science (unless they were absent from class) should come home with this form. It is required that a parent signs this form before the student is able to turn in their homework the next day. I assign homework in order to provide extra practice for students, and I do expect all students to attempt, complete, and turn in their homework. It also provides extra feedback to me by letting me know what students are retaining in class leading up to class assessments. Beginning the month of September, students will be assigned a weekly homework packet to complete over the course of the week, and it will be due each Friday in class. Exceptions to this will only be when I assign students projects that will require them to work on at home, or when we have a class test approaching.
