Meet Your Teacher, Ms. Monisha Waters

I am a former native of Mississippi. Before moving to Tennessee, I taught Freshman Biology labs at the University of Southern Mississippi, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. During my first two years of teaching with MNPS, I attended Trevecca Nazarene University, where I earned a Masters in the Arts of Teaching. Later, I attended Argosy University and earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. I am entering year 17 of teaching here in our great state of Tennessee, and this is year 13 for me with MNPS. I've taught both middle and high school science with MNPS, and for the last three years, I taught middle school science closer to home with Sumner County Schools. Now, I have returned to my roots with MNPS to continue teaching students.

I love music, traveling and visiting new places, spending time with my family and friends, and just relaxing. My first love, of course, is teaching, and when I’m not teaching in my classroom, I enjoy spending time teaching others in my community.
